Counseling at Seattle Prep
The Seattle Prep Counseling Department supports the Jesuit tradition of the Graduate at Graduation. Services and programs are designed to enhance the academic and social experiences of students and to provide support to students and parents throughout the four years at Prep. The freshman/sophomore/junior counseling team works with students during freshman, sophomore and first semester junior year to ensure a successful transition into high school and establish a solid foundation academically and socially. The college counseling team focuses in particular on the college guidance process while continuing to support the academic and social success of the students. The college counselors officially take over with juniors second semester junior year.
First Semester Important Information for Seniors
Check your email frequently. Important information is sent via email on a regular basis.
If you are applying to a college with a Nov. 1 or Nov. 15 deadline you must see your college counselor by Sept. 16. Otherwise it will not be possible to send your transcripts and recommendations to your schools by those deadlines. Sign-up in the counseling office for an appointment.
Check your Family Connection/naviance account regularly to see which colleges are visiting. Sign-up at least one day in advance so that you can be excused from class, if necessary, to attend these visits. It is particularly important that you visit schools you are applying to or considering for your college list.
