Drama enables students to discover their creative abilities while inspiring them to strive for artistic excellence. The Drama Program at Seattle Prep is designed to give students a wide variety of opportunities in the performance and production of live theater. Students are involved in many aspects from performing on stage to working behind the scenes in various leadership, design and technical areas.
Our two main productions include a play in the fall and musical in the winter. In the spring we have our annual Festival of One Acts where students direct, act and sometimes write their own short plays. Students are selected through an audition process for performing and an interview process for being part of the production crew.
Courses offered in drama include: Introduction to Theater, Acting, Video Production and Advanced Video Production. Class descriptions are found here.
