A Second Face
An annual student-run, student-led and student-produced literary and arts publication which highlights the talents of the entire Seattle Prep community - students, staff, faculty and alumni - A Second Face is the creative voice of Seattle Preparatory School.
A Second Face is committed to furthering the Mission of Seattle Prep through fostering the development of the whole person. By embracing the literary and visual arts as mediums through which we might more easily encounter God in all things, A Second Face hopes to draw on this central ideal of the Ignatian spiritual tradition.
A Second Face accepts submissions of all forms of written and visual art monthly from the Seattle Prep community.
The staff of A Second Face meets each Window period to read, view, critique and revise the submitted pieces with the moderator. The staff of A Second Face reserves the right to edit content for grammatical and spelling errors and clarity. The ultimate decision for selecting the best literary and artistic pieces for each year’s publication lies with the editor-in-chief and the art/layout editor with final approval from the moderator. Each entry is judged on technical merit, creativity, relevance to the student body, and adherence to each year’s A Second Face theme. Entries not selected for publication in that years’ A Second Face edition are eligible for next years’ edition.
