Welcome to the 2012-2013 School Year!
Welcome to a new year at Seattle Prep. My name is Maureen Reid and I am pleased to be serving as Principal of Seattle Prep as of July 1st. As you might know, I taught Biology, Chemistry, and Freshman Science at Prep from 1982 until 1999. Then, as now, what excites me most about being at Prep is working together with students, staff, families and alum to fulfill the school’s mission which states,
“We embrace the Ignatian ideals that God may be found in all things, that each person is sacred and that we are created to serve others in community. Our mission is to form discerning, transformational leaders who are intellectually competent, spiritually alive, open to growth, loving and committed to justice.”
During the course of the year, I look forward to meeting you and sharing the joys and challenges of the many aspects of Seattle Prep programs that are all designed for the benefit of the education and formation of students so that they are inspired and prepared to be competent, compassionate, contributing members of society.
